Huntington overcomes slow start to record win
Maxwell & Haynes help ZT to win over Adena
Kirk Maxwell scored 25 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and dished out five assist, and Gabe Haynes added 19 points and 4 assists as the the Zane Trace Pioneers defeated Adena to complete the first half of SVC play at 5-2. Zane Trace is just a game back of both Piketon and Westfall.

In the loss for Adena, Clay Roll scored 20 points - including a third quarter field goal that  marked career point 1,000. Teammates Buddy Barnes and Zach Skaggs both added 14 points, and Ben Bower scored 10 points.

Adena finishes the first half at 4-3. The Warriors are 8-3 overall.
The Paint Valley Bearcats scored 12 of the game's first 14 points Tuesday night, but Huntington was able to respond to record a 48-37 victory.

Corey Cottrill scored a team-high 13 points and grabbed six rebounds while Drew Trusty added 11 points and seven boards. Derek Clark added a near double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds.

In the loss for PV, Matt Workman scored a game-high 19 points. Sophomore Aaron Claytor added 10 points.
PIKETON WINS AGAIN! Redstreaks improve to 10-1
Brabson, Legg, and Smith combine for 52 in win
After losing a tough road game at Zane Trace to start league play back in December, Piketon has been perfect since. Tuesday night that hot streak continued with a big 82-61 win over Westfall. Piketon had five guys in double-figures led by Jordan Brabson who had 18 points, 11 rebounds, and two blocks. Point guard Evan Legg also scored 18 while Cody Smith added 16. Caleb Southworth had another great all-around performance with 12 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocks, and sophomore Keenan Brush scored 11 points.

For Westfall, one bright spot came in the performance of 6-6 sophomore Zak Smith. Smith scored a game-high 20 points while Bryant Gibson and Travis Burleson added 12 and 11, respectively.

The Piketon win has the Redstreaks and the Mustangs sharing the top league honors at the turn. Piketon starts the second-round when they host Zane Trace this Friday and Westfall will travel to Paint Valley.
