FOOTBALL FRIDAY NIGHT #9
Westfall travels to
Piketon for SVC
showdown
PV welcomes ZT with a lot on the line for
both the Bearcats and Pioneers
Paint Valley escaped
Unioto's upset bid in
Week 8 and now the
black and gold welcomes
ZT in for PV's final home
game of 2008. The
Bearcats are still in the
Divison V, Region 19
playoff picture, but they
will need two more wins
and some help to punch
their ticket to Week 11.
The ZT Pioneers travel to
Bainbridge needing a win to
keep pace with first-place
Westfall. The ZT fans will
also be doing some
scoreboard watching as they
will need a Piketon win
over WF to have a chance
to get back in the SVC title
picture.

This one may turn out to be first team to 50 wins! The top two
offenses get together Friday night in Piketon with WF playing for
a chance to secure a share of the SVC championship. A Piketon
win would tie these two rivals with just one week remaining.
Westfall's D.J. Cain and Ben Cline as well as Piketon's Kenny
Helton and Caleb Southworth are sure to be a few of several
offensive weapons that should keep the scoreboard operator
busy in Week 9.
Scott Keller's Westfall Mustangs are not
only trying to win the SVC title this season,
but they are playing Friday for their 25th
straight SVC win. That would tie PV's
current SVC streak, and Week 10 would give
WF a chance for gold and the outright
consecutive record at 26 consecutive
conference wins.
