Madison Plains Shuts Down Tanks In Opener

LONDON -- The Madison Plains Golden Eagles outscored the Unioto Shermans by 19 points in the
middle two quarters and coasted to a 49-35 season-opening win Friday night.

Led by sharp-shooting Sean McCollister's 24 points, including five treys, the Eagles led at all stops,
including 8-6, 21-10 and 28-19. Unioto (0-1) got a break-out performance from sophomore guard
Christian Dunkle with 15 points. Dunkle nailed three three-pointers. Senior center Alex Kimsey, in his
first game back from knee surgery, contributed eight points, 12 rebounds and eight blocked shoots.

The Tanks visit Adena for the SVC opener on Tuesday.
