Don Neff's Unioto Shermans won 38-straight games during the late 90's and into 2000. ZT beat Unioto in Coach Ron Allen's first SVC game to end what many feel is the most impressive streak in league history. |
Even though Paint Valley won two golden basketballs, Westfall won 38 straight games (according to John R. Skinner's Yesterday's Pastimes of Ross County, Ohio) from 1981-1983. The streak was stopped by Huntington during the 1982-1983 season. |
In 2013-2014, Unioto lost on opening night to ZT, and then ran off 13 straight SVC games to win the league. The following season – 2014-2015 – the Tanks won all 14 games stretching the win streak to 27 straight. As for 15-16 & 16-17 & 17-18, 14-0 again to bring the streak to 69. On opening night of the 18-19 season, Unioto lost to Zane Trace as the all-time streak came to an end. |
The Southeastern Lady Panthers hold the record for SVC girls’ basketball. Coach Mike Adams, Ella Skeens, and their SE squad won 40 straight SVC games. The streak started during SE’s 2016 championship run when they won the final 13 games. In 2017, SE captured the gold ball to push the streak to 27, and in 2018 the Lady Panthers won the first 13 games before falling at Unioto to share the title. |
