-----------------------
The Scioto Valley Conference got together at the VA
Tuesday evening for Match #2. Last week it was Unioto
starting the season off with a win. Tuesday night it was
more of the same. Unioto's Colton Forcum shot a 33
and Ricky Currier added a 36 to lead the team to a
winning score of 146.

Individually, returning Player of the Year, Huntington's
Duane Irvin, enjoyed another good round as the senior
carded a 34 to finish one back of Forcum.
Southeastern's Eli McKee continued his great play
shooting a 36 while fellow Panther rookie Layton
Ackley shot a 37. Drew Nichols also shot a 37 for the
winners.

Remember, individuals must play in seven matches to
qualify for all-league at the end of the year. If a player
does score in all eight, only the player's top seven scores
will count in the all-league standings.

The real story in thi year's race appears to be Unioto's
depth. The fourth score for the Tanks Tuesday - Michal
Smart's 40 - was nine strokes better than any other
fourth score. The Shermans dropped a 41 (Dallas
Johnson) and a 42 (Josh Cushing).

The league will return to action Thursday night at Valley
Vista in Bainbridge for SVC Match #3. Entering that
match, Unioto leads the league with 16 points while
Southeastern and Huntington are three-points back.
