Southeastern falls in non-league action
Southeastern started fast Tuesday night against non-league rival Vinton County, but foul trouble and increased defensive pressure from the Vikings made Southeastern's early lead slip away in the second half. Southeastern led after one 17-11 and at the half 24-20; however, by the end of the third quarter, VC had taken the lead 38-35. The Vikings eventually pushed the lead to double-figures in the fourth quarter and then held on for a 53-47 win.

In the loss for the Panthers, Michael Brown overcame first half foul trouble to score 19 points and grab 11 rebounds. Tyler Osborne added eight points and Steven Hall recorded six points. Freshman Nick Kellough, who was coming off a six, three-pointer and 26 point performance, was held to just five points and one triple.

Vinton County outrebounded Southeastern 45-33. The Panthers also lost the turnover battle 15-11. Southeastern is now 2-6. The Panthers host Piketon next Tuesday.
