Adena's Laura
Smith to enter the
Hall of Fame
The 42nd member of the OHSVCA Hall of Fame is Adena head coach Laura Smith. Over the past 25
years, Smith has posted a 538-101 record while winning 19 of the last 20 Scioto Valley Conference
championships. Perhaps more impressive, Smith's current Adena squad (currently 23-2) is playing in the
regional tournament this Wednesday for the 14th straight year. The current team also extended the record
streaks to 70 straight SVC wins and 126 straight home match wins through another season, and the 2010
squad will look to extend them both next fall.

As a player, Smith was a part of the 1975 & 1976 state championship teams, and now her current team
is just four wins away from giving her that honor as a coach. As a coach, Smith has been named the top
coach in the SVC 16 times and COY at the district level 14 times. Smith will be inducted November 21st
at a banquet in Wooster, Ohio.
