By Shayne Combs,

I would say my early prediction would be Adena. Jenny Grigsby and Autumn Smith would definitely be
on a preseason first-team list. Alex Southworth would be on that list as well. If Piketon can get everything
to come together, they are going to be really good. I also wouldn’t count out Unioto in their drive for
five. Hannah Miller is definitely a top-five player returning, and Unioto has a lot of depth coming back
with her. Finally, the fifth spot would probably have to go to Kelsey Dunkle. Even though Zane Trace
does take an incredible hit in terms of graduation, Dunkle would probably have to be in the top-five
individuals returning.

To respond to your final comment, I think the league will look a lot different in a few years. The top
programs will always be good, but if I had to pick out a sleeper for 2013, I would say Westfall. The
Lady Mustangs have a lot of talent in this year’s seventh through tenth grade, so I see no reason why
that can’t translate to their high school grades in two years.
