WEEK 2 FOOTBALL PROVES TO BE A TOUGH ONE FOR SVC
Only PV enters the winner's circle in second week
WEEK TWO ARCHIVE
Paint Valley made the long bus ride down to Coal Grove Friday night and returned to
Bainbridge with a 20-13 victory and as the only SVC team to win in Week 2. The
win also makes the Bearcats the only 2-0 team in the league as they head to
Greenfield next week to battle the McClain Tigers.

Paint Valley got touchdown runs from Colton Morris and Matt Workman, as well as
an 85-yard return from Wes Parker, to give the Paint Valley defense just enough
support to capture the non-conference win.

NOT PANIC TIME . . . NOT YET
A league-wide record of 4-12 isn't quite what the SVC had in mind entering the third
football Friday night; however, it is important to realize the schedule has been tough
for many and brighter days are coming. Obviously, it is time to approach Week 3
with some urgency, but no need for panic. The hole the league is in now should be
helped by what could be a six or seven win weekend for the SVC.
