Taylor Hatfield (19:26), Megan Roll (20:36), and Lydia Weaver (21:09) took the first three spots to lead Zane Trace to 27 points and a first-place finish.

Fellow Scioto Valley Conference member Piketon finished second while Southeastern finished fourth and Westfall finished sixth.

 The Zane Trace boys team finished eight points back of Fairland's 51 points to take second place in the Aaron Reed Memorial Event at Southeastern.

Piketon and Westfall finished behind ZT in third and fourth place while Southeastern finished seventh.
Cross Country
Unioto and Paint Valley in action at Lancaster's Reall Invitational
The Unioto boys' cross country team posted a third-place finish Saturday. They were led by Adrian Ross (16:37) and Ryan Valentine (17:14). The Shemans ran their fastest time ever at the difficult Lancaster course. In the Division III race, Paint Valley's Nick Gardner (18:38) and Logan Markko (18:47) also ran well finishing 24th and 26th, respectively.

One the girls side, Unioto's Miriah Park ran a 21:21, and Paint Valley was led by Erica Barker with a 25:05.

UNIOTO BOYS WIN CIRCLEVILLE KIWANIS INVITATIONAL
The Unioto boys cross country team won the 31 team Circleville Kiwanis Invitational August 30 at Ohio University Chillicothe, Other area teams included Zane Trace, Southeastern, Piketon, Westfall, Huntington, and Chillicothe. This is the first time the Unioto team won this invitational which included four teams ranked in the top twenty in last weeks division II coaches poll.

Unioto freshman Adrian Ross led the way for the Shermans with a new Unioto freshman record time of 17:06.  This eclipsed the record set at the State Meet by Galen Dills in 2005 by 22 seconds.  He was fifth overall in the 280 plus runner field.   Ross was followed closely by teammates Mark Flury 13th(17:52), Ryan Valentine 16th (17:56), Corey Martin 22nd (18:14), Sammy Holbert 24th (18:23), and Alex Buckalew 29th (18:32).  This was a personal record for Buckalew.

Zane Trace was the top SVC girls team with a seventh place finish followed by Unioto in eleventh.   Mirah Park was the top area finisher with a time of 20:44.  She finished 6th overall establishing a Unioto Course record.
