| ADENA SETTER CADIE CORY TO MISS ENTIRE SEASON Last year's leading SVC setter forced to have season-ending surgery |

| Adena’s Cadie Cory stormed on the volleyball scene a year ago as she quarterbacked the Adena 5-1 offense during her freshman campaign to a perfect Scioto Valley Conference season and a trip to the Elite Eight. Now, what was sure to be a sensational sophomore season for the Adena setter has come to an end as she will be forced to have season-ending surgery to repair her torn meniscus.
A year ago, Cory led the SVC with 650 assists (an 11.02 APG average). The Warriors will now call on junior Hannah Halcomb to do the setting. Adena did win their first match of the season Tuesday night in straight sets over Zane Trace. In that win, Halcomb dished out 37 assists. The Warriors return to action Thursday night at Westfall. SVCsportszone.com would like to wish Cadie a speedy recovery. |
