Huntington was able to keep the
tempo slow for most of the game
Tuesday night as the SVC's top
defensive team held the
high-powered Piketon offense in
check during a 55-45 upset victory.

Piketon was able to get the tempo
faster for a short time in the third
period; however, a Huntington
timeout sparked a short run for the
Huntsmen that left Piketon in
serious foul trouble entering the
fourth quarter.

On the offensive end, Huntington
had great balance. Derick Clark
scored 15 points and pulled down
13 boards while Drew Trusty also
scored 15 points and grabbed 9
rebounds. Corey Cottrill scored 11
points and had 10 rebounds and
Craig Magill scored 10 points and
dished out 5 assists.

For Piketon, Jordan Brabson and
Cody Smith both scored 11 points
and Evan Legg added 10 points.
