On Friday night, it was
Swackhammer stuffing the
stat sheet with 16 points
(including 8-10 from line),
five rebounds, four assists,
and three steals in a win
over Zane Trace. The next
night, he scored 24 points
(9-16 FG, 6-7 FT) with five
assists and four steals as
Unioto defeated
Huntington.

Unioto Lady Shermans
Winter of 2017-2018

Unioto earned a big
nonconference win against
Chillicothe. In the win,
Cottrill and the Unioto
backcourt played great.
Cottrill scored 14 points
including three triples. She
also dished out five assists.
Tanner Perdue, Piketon
(Basketball):
We nearly had a
repeat winner as Perdue
averaged 28 points per game as
Piketon recorded two more wins
to improve to 4-0 overall.


Rex Hartman, Southeastern
(Basketball):
The Southeastern
Panthers started SVC play with
two wins. In victories over Adena
and Westfall, Hartman averaged
18 points per game.

Reuter, one of the
league’s best on-ball defenders,
recorded 12 steals in a win over
Adena last week. The Piketon
guard has also increased her
scoring this year as she is
averaging double figures in the
early going.

Lexi Woods, Paint Valley
(Basketball):
Although PV
came up one point short against
Leesburg last week, Woods
scored 35 points and grabbed
10 rebounds for the Lady
Bearcats.
