FINAL FALL VOTE OF 2018
The Paint Valley junior helped
his Bearcats clinch a perfect
10-0 season. McFadden
impacted the game on both
sides of the ball. He scored on
an 18-yard pass play from
quarterback Bryce Newland in
the first half, and then put the
game away with a second half
pick-six.
For all the Unioto fans who
braved the conditions for a few
hours Saturday afternoon in
Jackson, Thompson sent them all
home happy. After 100 minutes of
scoreless soccer, Thompson
broke the tie with the only goal of
the match to give Unioto the
district title.
Mikey Nusser, Southeastern
(Football):
The Southeastern
running back rushed for 102
yards and a touchdown in SE’s
Week 10 win. Nusser went over
the 1,000 yard mark for the
season as he and his Panthers
prepare for a return trip to
Week 11.

Logan Markko, Unioto (Cross
Country):
The senior crossed
third in last week’s Regional Cross
Country Meet to help his Unioto
team to a runner-up finish. The
Tanks will once again run in this
year’s OHSSA State Cross
Country Meet.

Chance Smith, Unioto
(Football):
The senior rushed for
158 yards and three touchdowns
as Unioto completed a 7-3 season
to punch a third-straight ticket to
the playoffs.

Gabe Shanton, Zane Trace
(Football):
Shanton passed for
207 yards and two scores, and he
rushed for 41 yards and a
touchdown as ZT ended the
season with a win over Huntington.

Elliott Lynn, Zane Trace
(Football):
The Zane Trace WR
caught four balls – half of them for
touchdowns – including a school-
record 91-yard TD. Lynn also
added an interception on
defense.
