Morgan Merritt, Piketon (Softball): Merritt
defeated Zane Trace Friday night 2-1. Merritt also
had both RBIs in the win.

Gina Rosshirt, Westfall (Softball): Rosshirt
pitched Westfall to a big win in Frankfort Friday
night. Rosshirt also hit a homerun in the win.

Morgan Geno, Zane Trace (Softball): The
pitching and hitting of Geno continues to help Zane
Trace to a great season. In a win over Hillsboro,
Geno’s bat produced five RBIs and a HR. She
also went deep twice in a win at Paint Valley.

Kendra Detty, Huntington (Softball): Detty
went deep in Huntington’s near upset of Unioto
Friday night. Detty also had two hits in a win over
Piketon earlier in the week.

Hayleigh Swayne, Piketon (Softball): Swayne
continues to help the Lady Redstreaks in all aspects
of the game. After another great week, Swayne is
now hitting .545

Bryce Arledge, Unioto (Baseball): The junior
lefty threw a one-hitter only to see his team
shutout by the before mentioned Yates. Arledge
struck out 10.

Adrian Ross, Unioto (Track): At this week’s
Oak Hill Invite, Ross won the 1600 and the 3200.

Zach Farmer, Piketon (Baseball): The Piketon
left-hander K’d 31 batters in two starts this
past week. Farmer also continues to produce
offensively as he hit his first homerun of the
season at Paint Valley on Wednesday.

Alek Stonerock, Westfall (Baseball): Stonerock
tossed a complete-game win while striking out
eight to beat Unioto 4-3 this past week.

Tyler Thompson, Paint Valley (Baseball): The
sophomore right-hander recorded 13 strikeouts in
Friday’s win over Southeastern. Thompson
also had two hits in the win.

Jerrod Collins, Zane Trace (Baseball): The
senior three-hole hitter had another great week at
the plate. Collins added his fourth HR of the
season on Monday at Paint Valley before adding a
two-run single in Friday’s win. On Saturday,
Collins had two hits and four RBIs at the VA
against Valley.
