A NOT SO GOOD NIGHT
The Panthers bounced back after losing in Week 1. Steven Hall had a big night.
Hall rushed for 200 yards. He also recorded 157 return yards. Hall scored on two
big first half runs as well as a long screen pass to help SE break it open early.
Adena continued its great defense and run game Friday night to move to 2-0.
Reid Hutchison rushed 26 times for 180 yards. The Adena running back
scored five times. Jarrod Cyrus added 86 yards on eight touches.
Storm Cottrill found the end zone on a 14-yard, third-quarter run to cut the
McClain lead to 14-7. McClain would later add the clinching score. Janson Grimm
rushed for 114 yards. Steven Vanderpool had 10 tackles and three sacks.
The Bearcats got off to a bad start tonight and never recovered as Paint
Valley
falls to 1-1. Paint Valley was able to get on the board late in this one as
senior quarterback Eli Barker hit classmate Logan Ackley for a
touchdown..
Down 24-20, Piketon faced a 4th & 10 from about the VC 40 when Piketon scored
on a long pass play. Vinton County was able to take the kickoff and get decent field
position. The Vikings won the game with a long TD pass on the game's final play.
Some early WF mistakes and a quick-strike offense from Logan Elm combined to
have the Braves up 36-0 early in the second quarter. Trent Williamson threw for
over 200 yards, but he was held to 31 yards on the ground.

It was a tough night for Zane Trace as the Pioneers faced a very good
Amanda program. Zane Trace's only touchdown came on a Matt Marnell run;
however, Marnell would later leave the game due to injury.
