Ashley Lawhorn, Piketon: The Piketon rookie was just edged out in this week’s voting. In Saturday’s win over New Boston, Lawhorn knocked down seven triples on her way to a career-high total of 25 points.

Jenny Grigsby, Adena: The junior made good on eight of her 11 shots from the field on her way to a 24-point night as Adena beat Westfall. Grigsby also grabbed 12 rebounds.

Mallory Retherford, Unioto: The junior guard scored 13 points to lead Unioto to a win over Piketon.

K.K. Jenkins, Piketon:
The sophomore posted a big night to help a beat-up Piketon squad stay close against Unioto. Jenkins scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

Jordan Kellough, Huntington: The senior scored 12 points to help her Lady Huntsmen end a long losing streak that dates back to senior night two years ago.

Chase Detillion, Unioto: We nearly had a repeat winner this week. Detillion had a monster weekend. First in Friday night’s big SVC win over Huntington, Detillion scored 22 points and grabbed 16 points. Saturday, Detillion scored 17 points and pulled down 16 rebounds to lead Unioto past Logan.

Alek Stonerock, Westfall:
Stonerock scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds in Tuesday’s loss to Unioto. He then scored 19 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and blocked three shots to help his Mustangs past Southeastern. The junior also hit key, back-to-back threes in the second half to help secure the win.

Harrison Hermann, Paint Valley: Hermann connected on all five three-point attempts Friday night as he scored 27 points to help his Bearcats complete the season sweep against Zane Trace. Hermann also scored 12 points in Monday’s win over Adena, and he scored 16 points in Saturday’s loss to Peebles.

Wes Beam, Zane Trace:
On Tuesday night, Beam scored 12 points in a loss to Southeastern. After missing Friday’s game at Paint Valley, he returned Saturday to score 30 points in a win at Beaver Eastern. 

Michael Brown, Southeastern: The SE senior averaged 18.5 point per game as his Panthers split a pair of SVC games. Brown scored a game-high 20 points in Tuesday’s win over Zane Trace.

Austin Dennis, Adena: Dennis averaged 15 points per game this week in two SVC setbacks for Adena including an 18-point performance against Piketon on Friday.

Andrew Warner, Unioto: After scoring 14 points in Tuesday’s win over Westfall, Warner scored 22 points and pulled down 13 rebounds in Friday’s win over Huntington. He completed the weekend with 16 points and nine rebounds in Saturday’s win over Logan.

Cole Murray, Unioto: The Unioto trio split several votes this week. Murray, who struggled at times Friday night, was huge in Tuesday’s win over Westfall. Murray helped his Shermans avoid the trap game by scoring 22 points on 7-11 shooting. Also, Murray came up big Saturday night. The point guard nailed four triples on his way to a 17 point night.

It was a two-win week for the Lady Panthers and Strausbaugh was a big reason why. First, the sophomore scored 20 points in Tuesday’s overtime win over Leesburg. On Thursday, she scored a game-high 19 points including the game’s final six points to lift her team to a two-point win over Paint Valley.

ROBERTSON
Robertson continued his hot second half to the season. After scoring 10 points and pulling down 15 rebounds in Tuesday’s loss at Unioto, Robertson scored 26 points and had 15 rebounds in Friday’s win over Southeastern. On Saturday, he scored 31 points at Teays Valley to help his team to a come-from-behind win.
