WESTFALL, PIKETON, & ADENA ALL WIN FRIDAY TO STAY TIED AT THE TOP
Piketon uses big second half to survive scare in Bainbridge while Westfall and Adena roll
Redstreaks respond in second half to record comeback win

The Paint Valley Bearcats spent most of the first half of the season without senior Garett Tyree. Now, with Tyree in the mix
the PV offense is starting to show signs of improvement. In Friday’s first half, Tyree caught two touchdowns from
quarterback Eli Barker, kicked three PATs (PV’s other TD was a Nolan Taylor run), and recorded an INT all before
halftime to take a 21-3 lead to the half.

The second half was all Piketon. Trevor McDowell found the end zone three times with the last coming with less than two
minutes to play to give Piketon the 24-21 win. The Piketon defense stepped up big pitching the second half shutout while
forcing three PV turnovers. Totals on offense included McDowell running for 86 yards while Jamie Helton rushed for 28
yards. Helton also added 103 yards through the air.

Westfall starts fast then holds on to beat ZT

SVC. Trent Williamson enjoyed another big night throwing for 298 yards and a score. He also ran for a score. For ZT,

The Adena offense got it going early and often Friday night. Reid Hutchison continued his incredible season rushing for 222
yards and three scores.  The big night moved Hutchison past the 1,000 yard mark on the season. Quarterback Kirk Yates
had a huge night as well. Yates threw for 141 yards and two scores. He ran for 48 yards and a TD. Yates also kicked a
22-yard FG and was 5-for-5 on PATs.

The win sets up next week’s showdown between Adena and Westfall. The key match-up will take place in Frankfort.

Southeastern gets it going late to blowout Huntington

Huntington was within a touchdown of Southeastern at 14-7 at halftime Friday night. The Panthers then stretched the lead
to 20-7 in the third quarter, but a 20-point final quarter for Southeastern gave the Panthers a 40-7 victory. The big second
half surge was highlighted by a 50-yard scoring strike from Christian Colburn to Michael Brown. Brown then picked a pass
off and returned it for a TD to put the game away for Southeastern. The Panthers are now 5-2 overall. They will play their
final home game of the season next week when they welcome Piketon.
