As a three-sport athlete, Southeastern’s Steven Hall capped off his junior season with an incredible spring on the track. His overall season was enough according to the SVC fans to capture this year’s Athlete of the Year.
Hall is a gifted athlete who is considered by most the fastest kid in the league. Hall’s speed first impacted a Southeastern football team who posted one of SE’s finest seasons in a long time as the Panthers finished 7-3. Hall used his speed both rushing and receiving to help Southeastern post 29 points per game. Hall finished just shy of 1,000 yards on the ground and found the end zone 10 times. The junior was an All-SVC selection.
In the winter, Hall was a member of a much improved Southeastern basketball squad. Hall averaged three assists and two steals per game. The junior guard was selected honorable mention All-SVC.
Finally in the spring is where Hall left is most dominating impression. Hall recorded a perfect night at the SVC Meet winning the Long Jump, the 100, 200, and the 400. Hall then dominated the D-II tournament throughout the district and regional levels as Hall won regional championships in both the 100 and the 200. At the State Meet, Hall finished 5th in the 200 Meter Dash. |
