While we wait for the weather to bring spring sports to us, we want to take this transition time to honor this year's SVC Player of the Year on both the boys and girls' side. Unioto's Mackenzie Arledge led the league in both scoring and rebounding while leading her Lady Shermans to the outright title. Zane Trace's Kirk Maxwell averaged a league's second best total at just over 20 points per game while leading his Pioneers to an outright title as well. Maxwell finished with 1,213 career points - the 24th best total in the history of the league.
SVCsportszone will be naming their first spring athlete of the week during the Easter weekend as most spring teams open the week of March 29th. |
