Football Friday night number five is shaping up to be a
competitive week in the Scioto Valley Conference. Each
game has the potential to provide us with an instant-
classic finish. A couple of this week’s match-ups
could go a long way in determining this year’s
league champion as well as who could be in or who
could be out come time for Week 11.
Southeastern's defense is giving up a league's second best 21.3 ppg.
The Warriors offense is posting 18 ppg. through the first four weeks
Scott Keller's Mustangs - who enter Week 5 the winners of 27 straight games
in the SVC - are the owners of the league's top offense at 32.8 ppg.
The league's third best defense (24.5) has given up 7 ppg. in two wins
and 42 ppg. in their two losses.
Huntington's defense allowed 39 points to Piketon in Week 4 and is now
giving up an average of over 43 ppg.
The Unioto offense is averaging 21 ppg., and is coming off a 36-point
showing in a Week 4 loss to Westfall.
Kirk Maxwell and the ZT offense is posting a league's second best 29.5 ppg.
Even through the tough non-league schedule, Piketon still owns the
league's top defense. The Redstreaks only allow 15.3 ppg.
