Fall of 2009 - Week 8
The Westfall quarterback had another monster week, and this week's performance lifted his Mustangs to a come-from-behind win over Adena. Williamson threw for 305 yards and three touchdowns. The WF signal-caller is now closing in on the 1,800 passing yard mark on the year, and he has had a hand in 25 Westfall touchdowns in 2009. He is also a top-five rusher in the SVC.
In a 1-1 week for Westfall, it was actually what Cobb did in WF's loss that helped her edge out Taylor Hatfield this week. In Tuesday's loss to Unioto, Cobb delivered an incredible 33 kills. She also had five blocks and 17 digs. In Thursday's straight set win over Piketon, Cobb had 13 kills and seven aces. Cobb, just a freshman, finishes her first varsity season in the top-ten of assists, kills, and digs.
