| The junior shot rounds of 39 and 40 at Foxfire this past Thursday to finish off his 2009 SVC Player of the Year season. Irvin posted a league-best average of 38.29. The Huntsmen No. 1 man never shot a score above 41 in eight SVC matches this fall. |
| The Adena setter had a great week while quarterbacking the Adena 5-1 offense. The Warriors went 4-0 as Halcomb recorded 12 assists per game this week while leading a balanced Adena attack. Halcomb is currently leading the Scioto Valley Conference in assists per game. |

| Jarrod Cyrus, Unioto (Football): The sophomore carried the football 28 times for 209 yards and two scores in Friday's 20-0 win over Huntington. Jake Cantrell, Westfall (Football): In Friday's win over Paint Valley, Cantrell needed just 12 touches to gain 175 yards and to find the end zone three times. Gabe Haynes, Zane Trace (Football): The senior WR/DB made the difference on both sides of the ball in Friday's 14-13 win. He caught seven balls for 73 yards and two scores - the second being with eight seconds left in the first half which proved to be the game-winner. Haynes also knocked away Piketon's potential winning two-point conversion with less than a minute to play. Reid Hutchison, Adena (Football): The Adena back rushed for 82 yards and a score and he also recorded a 71-yard TD reception in Friday's 22-19 win over Southeastern. Wes Parker, Paint Valley (Football): Before leaving Friday's loss to WF early with an injury, the senior returned a kick-off for a TD and also scored on a long run from scrimmage while rushing for 134 yards on just nine carries. Tyler Tackett, Piketon (Football): For the fifth straight week, the senior was over 100 yards. This week it was 111 yards on 23 rusheds, and Tackett also scored Piketon's first half TD. Dylan Gragg, Huntington (Football): The sophomore linebacker was involved in 15 tackles Friday night bringing his total to 54 on the season. Adrian Ross, Unioto (Cross Country): Ross led the Shermans to a 3rd Place finish at the Lancaster Invitational with a second place finish time of 15: 48.7. |
| Erin Bane, Unioto (Soccer): For the third time this fall, Bane places second in the voting. Bane scored four times in Unioto's win over Leesburg Fairfield. Taylor Hatfield, Zane Trace (Cross Country): Another week...another win for Hatfield. Her 19:35 dominated the field at the Rio Grande Invitational. Alex Phillips, Westfall (Volleyball): Phillips had a huge week for WF. In Thursday's big win over Huntington, the sophomore was 39-40 hitting with 19 kills. She also had six total blocks. Saturday, Phillips recorded 17 kills in a win over Bexley. Morgan Gumm, Unioto (Soccer): Joining Bane on this week's list is the teammate that does all the assisting. Gumm scored one goal and assisted five in Unioto's win this week. Megan Fultz, Huntington (Volleyball): The junior had a great night in a win over Southeastern. Fultz recorded 15 kills, 8 blocks, and 10 digs. Madison Davis, Unioto (Volleyball): The lefty had 13 kills in a tough, three-set loss to Adena, but then pounded 16 kills and had 5 aces in Thursday's win over PV. Catherine Dresbach, Southeastern (Volleyball): She recorded 21 kills and 14 digs in a loss on Tuesday, and then Thursday - a win for the Lady Panthers - Dresbach had 11kills, 4 total blocks, and 12 digs. Mallory Retherford, Unioto (Cross Country/Soccer) Retherford placed 34th out of over 200 runners Saturday at the Lancaster Invitational with a time of 21:00.04 the fastest time in school history for any Unioto girl on that course. She is also the starting sweeper on the 7-2-1 Lady Shermans soccer team. |
