Fall of 2009 - Week 11
The Unioto senior capped off an incredible career Saturday as he was the top Unioto runner in the State Meet at Scioto Downs. Valentine crossed the finish line in 17:33. Valentine finished second in the SVC this season and was also second in the district.
The junior middle hitter had a great week. Hurt in terms of stats all year by her team dominating most opponents in three sets, Bielanow finally gets the votes for her outstanding regional tournament. In two wins this week, she recorded 28 kills and played outstanding against Xavier-Bound Sarah Brown on Wednesday night.

Honorable Mention
Nick Ganus, Zane Trace (Football): Kicked a 41-yard FG in ZT's Week 11 loss to Heath. Ganus also recorded a touchback. Ganus was also named Kicker of the Year in the SVC this past week.
Taylor Hatfield, Zane Trace (Cross Country): The sophomore could have easily repeated as our winner this week if not for the many emails Bielanow had come in all week. Hatfield finished second in the entire D-II race at Scioto Downs.

Hannah Halcomb, Adena (Volleyball): The Adena setter recorded 46 assists in the regional semifinal and 38 more in Saturday's championship win.
