| Unfortunately in today’s time, it is starting to become less “cool” to go to the game on a Friday night. Throughout the 80’s and 90’s, gyms were filled to their capacity every weekend, and at the corner of each side you would see student sections packed with loud, excited, and usually somewhat knowledgeable students. | The Unioto girls' basketball team is attempting to join Paint Valley's 1996 and 1997 teams as the only school to win back-to-back gold basketballs; however, this 28 game winning streak that Unioto can earn at PV Saturday still leaves them short of the longest, league winning streak according to one source... | Coach Jeff Everhart and his Lady Bearcats defeated Manchester Thursday night to capture the Division IV sectional title. The championship is the school's first in girls' basketball since Eric Sndyer's Paint Valley team won a sectional title in 2004.
