| Southeastern’s Nick Kellough had several looks throughout the fourth quarter and early overtime that did not find the bottom of the net; however, the freshman didn’t stop shooting as his final triple of the night proved to be the game-winner. | Unfortunately in today’s time, it is starting to become less “cool” to go to the game on a Friday night. Throughout the 80’s and 90’s, gyms were filled to their capacity every weekend, and at the corner of each side you would see student sections packed with loud, excited, and usually somewhat knowledgeable students. Now, it seems that despite bigger enrollments that attendance is dropping. SVCsportszone hopes to rekindle some of that “old school” feel. READ MORE |

| On a day Westfall announced that Makenzie Wippel was signing to play her college ball at Wilmington (click here for a picture and details of Wippel's signing), the senior recorded a huge night to lead her Lady Mustangs to their second straight win. In other action, Zane Trace responded in a big way to last week's struggles while Unioto rolled over Huntington. | Balanced scoring played a key role in both Adena and Paint Valley surviving tough road games Monday night. In McClain, Kirsti Yates led four Lady Warriors in double-figures while at Vinton County Whitney Hollon led a quartet of Lady Bearcats who scored more than 10 points. Piketon also won behind a big night from Holly Brabson, and they will now play for a county title. | Piketon and Zane Trace rolled to easy wins Tuesday night while games at Westfall and Huntington needed the entire 32 minutes to figure things out. In the end, Unioto was able to do something Piketon and Westfall failed to do earlier this season, and at Westfall, Codey Musselman delivered a Mustang miracle of sorts. | Hall of Fame night in Bainbridge turned out to be all Peebles. The Bearcats were able to hang in with the high-powered Indians offense for a couple of quarters, but Peebles outscored Paint Valley 47-19 after halftime to roll to the non-league win. Before the game, four former Bearcats entered the Paint Valley Hall of Fame. Andy Anderson (1977), Jack Baisden (1978), Chris Younge (2003), and Drew Bobb (2004) make-up the Class of 2010 for the Bearcats. |
